Archive for December 2003

This will be my last entry of the year.

I’m going to take this time to reflect on the new foods I tried this year and actually liked. If you know me, you know that getting me to try anything new is nothing short a miracle. Getting me to try a new food is an ACTUAL miracle. Since this is the season of such events…I share with you the new foods in my repertoire (as it were):

Sushi
This is the most exciting of the additions, since Gaea tried to get me to eat it about 15 years ago and I swore I’d never try again.

Wings
Holy mackanoili do I love these things. Only from Locos, only medium with extra sauce and ranch. But still…

Grits
I actually had these for the first time on Wednesday. From what I understand grits are like tofu, and these were pretty cheesy. I love cheese.

Red Wine
Not technically a food but can be a meal substitute. Avoided since 1989, reintroduced in Vail.

Ok, that’s it. I’m going now. No, really. I mean it. Ok maybe I’ll be lurking. You just never know. Either way, safe and happy holidays. I’ll see ya next year.

I’m checking out for a few days, but before I go I have this to say about that. Hopefully it will hold you over until I get back.

Good bye Maddox. Good bye Javy. I’ll miss your thighs. I mean, your amazing skills on the field and behind home plate. Sad day for the Bravos. A moment of silence please.

What the hell is this? And this?

More importantly, did you know:

WHAT IS THE NUTRITIONAL VALUE OF WHEATGRASS JUICE?
One ounce of Wheatgrass Juice is equivalent in vitamins, minerals, and amino acids found in 2-1/2 pounds of green leaf vegetables. 1 oz. Wheatgrass Juice = 2-1/2 lbs. Green leaf vegetables. Wheatgrass is one of the richest natural sources of vitamins A, complete B complex, B-17, C, E, and K. In addition, Wheatgrass is an excellent source of Calcium, Potassium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Sodium, Sulfur, Cobalt, Zinc, 17 forms of amino acids and enzymes.

Isn’t that CRAZY? Gogityewsome.

Yes indeed, December has arrived.

I have left The Dark Side (Interland) for the forces of good. Mad props to Jonathan for hosting me. HOWEVER this means a bunch of my links died and I need to fix them. I already know, so shut your pie hole. I’ll get to it when I get to it.

If I’ve never told you about my youth and what a scary individual I was…well let me show you. For those of you that remember my youth having personally been there…well…laugh it up.

Maigh circa 1989.

I write, you read. It's a clean and simple relationship.
