One of the things I love about working for an organization like Turner is the emphasis put on philanthropy - a priority not forgotten despite the departure of our founder. The freedom and generosity the company provides, graciously allowing you to give back to the community makes it near criminal not to.

Find a charity run or walk to participate in, fill out a form - the company will cover your entry fees and donate a hefty sack of bills.

Better than that is the 40 hours a year allotted to each employee for volunteering. Mind you we’re not expect to work it in one shot, but next year I will.

While others spend an hour or two here and there with reading programs in inner city schools or something similar, Stacey and I have decided to spend a week at Camp Sunshine.

In 2006 I hope/plan to spend it with the children impacted by Chernobyl.

Life is good.

BTW, can anyone tell me how long I can expect it to take for the spider I trapped under a cup on my kitchen floor Saturday night to die? He’s awful feisty, and about the size of a half-dollar.
