My mood matches the weather. I’m sitting on the couch listening to the Thistle & Shamrock, trying to find the motivation to run.
You know the feeling. You have that conversation with yourself: “You’ll feel better when it’s over, you’ll be glad you did it.” “Yeah, but the couch is coooooomfy and it’s ugly outside.” “Get off your arse.” “Fine.” “You suck.” “I’ll show you, fucker.” Etcetera.
Running is something I prefer to do in the dark where I can be alone with my thoughts, but since the rain tends to keep people in their homes I should have more privacy today than I normally might during daylight hours.
As much as I cherish sunshine, I adore the rain and the myriad of sensations and emotions it stirs up.
