I love turtles.
Sadly, the Georgia Sea Turtle Center doesn’t open until June which means this weekend while we’re in that neck of the woods we’ll just have to plop ourselves on the sand and hope for a spotting while we plan a return trip for a night walk later in the summer.
Blah blah blah. I know. I gets me through the day.

I had no idea they nested in Georgia!
One of my favorite moments in Trinidad was taking a demon hell ride at night through a dense forest to witness Leatherback turtles nesting.

Flickr just cracked me up. Your tag of “matura” flagged it for a safe content filter. Very nice.
Back to the turtles: JEALOUS.
We’re probably going to head back down later in the summer, we’ll have to see if you kids can get your schedules aligned for a quick escape/night or two away from the HotHot.

I almost fell off of a chartered boat in Maui trying to take a picture of a sea turtle (my fav. animal and the coolest animals EVER). There is this place in the middle of the ocean of the West Coast on Maui that the locals call “turtle town” – because, well, there are so many turtles.
Cool stuff.

If you’re in the neighborhood again, we’re going to try to open (at least in part) on Memorial Day Weekend. We’ll be completely open in time for the Grand Opening Celebration on June 16 (World Sea Turtle Day).
Until then, you can check out what’s going on with our current patients at: GSTC.blogspot.com.
We look forward to seeing you soon,
