From last week, pre-cycling incident:

4th time in a year. Awesome. Maybe at some point they’ll use an actual metal clamp to hold the hose on instead of zip ties?
This is not your fathers workmanship. This is the era of technology with an expiration date and band-aid fixes that keep you coming back like a hoe outside Church’s on Ponce at 3am for his/her crack fix.

A friend of mine was bitching about the Anchorage weather yesterday. Cloudy. 50’s. Threatening rain. My response basically boiled down to ‘could be worse’. We’re not having a drought, heatwave, flooding. So it’s a bit chilly - BFD. Put on an anorak! We have it good.

Hah! Yes, they DO have expiration dates. I am an automotive engineer. (Not for HVAC though, so don’t blame me!)
But it’s true. Stuff is tested to make sure it gets through warranty. That’s about it. So cost save initiatives lead suppliers to manufacture parts and assembly processes that have the parts break five miles past warranty. Crappy. I know.
And my A/C is busted too. I feel your pain. It’s supposed to be 90 here today. And it’s Michigan, so it’s sticky sticky sticky.
Hope it gets fixed soon!

Scrabble word fun:
ULU: an Eskimo knife
ULULATE: to howl (cry like a dog)
PONCE: to pimp
Used in a sentence: The Jeep service writer’s continued poncing lead to Maigh shoving her ulu deep into his gut thus evoking an ululating response.

“O mighty ulu! We sit in the fields and drink Oly beer.”
Children can be so cruel.
BTW when are you going to AK? I’ll be there in July for my 25th HS reunion…which is pretty funny, considering I’m sure graduated only 10 or so years ago.

@ Jamie - I knew it, you’re out to get me!
@ vc - Very nicely done.
@ Jen - if I go to AK this year it’ll be for X-mas. I think you’re thinking of my rendezvous with Jenny (aka Slim) and Julie in Seattle in August (hopefully)
