I broke down a week or so ago and picked up my Christmas present to myself: an iPhone.
I like to be an early adopter, but I don’t like to spend money. Quandary. I labored about it for months, weeks, ran the numbers and talked myself out of it. Ran the numbers, talked myself into it. Out of it. Into it. But it might inspire me to run again. Into it. Twitter addition. Into it. Math. Out of it. Corporate discount into it. Into it into it into it.
So I’ve become one of them, and I’ve got a list of my favorite apps. I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours.
- BriteKite
- Camera Bag
- Handshake
- Twittelator
- Shazam
- Flycast
- Pandora
- Public Radio
- White Noise
- Wikipanion
- Amazon
- Map my run
- Cube Runner
- Moonlight lite
- More Cowbell
- Lightsaber
(ht to Tessa for most of these…)
So? Spill it.
While we wait? You can hit me on my iPhone or just enjoy this lovely snap I took in the dentists chair playing with CameraBag last week while waiting for the pre-numb to kick in. You’re welcome.

Hmmm… Where to start.
Facebook – Fantastic implementation
LinkedIn – Handy for looking up people when you just met them
Mobile Fotos – Brings Flickr to your iPhone
MPG – Keep track of your gas mileage
Evernote – Get your Evernote notes to your phone…or create them there.
NetNewsWire – RSS reader
iMapMyRide – Use your GPS to track your bike ride (same company as Maigh’s choice of iMayMyRun)
Simplify – Get your desktop’s music (or your friend’s for that matter) on your iPhone
VNC – Control your desktop from your iPhone
Pandora – Customize your own internet music station
PageOnce – Get the details of most your bills right to your phone.
— I have 4 games for my iPod, but I only play two of them —
HoldEm – Apple’s Texas Hold’em. This is pay, but it’s worth it.
Darts – Caution: An incredibly addictive dart game (and I don’t even like darts).
As you can see, I am an app junkie. This is a list of my favorites… I have many more on my phone and even more that I no longer sync to my phone. It’s sad.
And there you have it.
Joe.
