I broke down a week or so ago and picked up my Christmas present to myself: an iPhone.

I like to be an early adopter, but I don’t like to spend money. Quandary. I labored about it for months, weeks, ran the numbers and talked myself out of it. Ran the numbers, talked myself into it. Out of it. Into it. But it might inspire me to run again. Into it. Twitter addition. Into it. Math. Out of it. Corporate discount into it. Into it into it into it.

So I’ve become one of them, and I’ve got a list of my favorite apps. I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours.

- BriteKite
- Camera Bag
- Handshake
- Twittelator
- Shazam
- Flycast
- Pandora
- Public Radio
- White Noise
- Wikipanion
- Amazon
- Map my run
- Cube Runner
- Moonlight lite
- More Cowbell
- Lightsaber

(ht to Tessa for most of these…)

So? Spill it.

While we wait? You can hit me on my iPhone or just enjoy this lovely snap I took in the dentists chair playing with CameraBag last week while waiting for the pre-numb to kick in. You’re welcome.

    Hmmm… Where to start.

    Facebook – Fantastic implementation
LinkedIn – Handy for looking up people when you just met them
Mobile Fotos – Brings Flickr to your iPhone
MPG – Keep track of your gas mileage
Evernote – Get your Evernote notes to your phone…or create them there.
    NetNewsWire – RSS reader
iMapMyRide – Use your GPS to track your bike ride (same company as Maigh’s choice of iMayMyRun)
Simplify – Get your desktop’s music (or your friend’s for that matter) on your iPhone
VNC – Control your desktop from your iPhone
Pandora – Customize your own internet music station
PageOnce – Get the details of most your bills right to your phone.

    — I have 4 games for my iPod, but I only play two of them —

HoldEm – Apple’s Texas Hold’em. This is pay, but it’s worth it.
Darts – Caution: An incredibly addictive dart game (and I don’t even like darts).

As you can see, I am an app junkie. This is a list of my favorites… I have many more on my phone and even more that I no longer sync to my phone. It’s sad.

    And there you have it.

    Joe.

Okay, here’s my complete list at the moment:

    Front Page:
myLite – My favorite of the flashlight apps I’ve seen

Ping.fm – Update a gazillion social networking sites at once
Twittelator Pro – Best Twitter app eva for iPhone
Zippo Lighter – ’nuff said ;)
Night Stand – great clock to have next to your bed (assuming you have some sort of dock or stand for it)
Remember The Milk – to do list

    Social Stuff:
Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, BrightKite, Loopt – self explanatory
I Can Has Cheezburger – Great for unexpected lines & waits
The Weather Channel, Google, Amazon – easy

    Lifestyle Stuff:
Style.com, Chanel, Threads (threadless), Showtimes, Flixster, i.TV (works with Netflix), Graffitio, Last Call (tracks BAC), Espresso (reference guide), OpenTable, Grocery iQ (stellar grocery list app), GoodGuide (green product guide)

    Music Fun:
Instruments — More Cowbell, MiniPiano, Rain Stick, Kazoo, DigiLite, PocketGuitar, Violin
Services — Last.fm, Simplify, Shazam, ZooBeatLite

    Helpful Stuff:
Wikipanion (wikipedia to-go), Handshake (trade contact cards with other iPhone users instead of pen searching), Barcode, iTalk, AirSharing, PayPal, EasyWriter (great if you’d like a bigger keyboard!), Evernote (LOVE THIS), VNC, NYTimes, TruPhone (free calls)

    Travel/Food Stuff:
Yelp, Urbanspoon, Travelocity, Expense2Go (keep track of biz expenses), BlackBook, Google Earth, GasBag (find gas prices near you), Translator, Trapster (police traps)

    Fun/Photo Stuff:
Fun — Lightsaber, Hangman, Live Poker, FourFree, Fake-A-Call, Classics
Photo — PhotoSwap, Flickr (save to home screen: m.flickr.com), CameraBag, Flex PhotoLab, Exposure

** I obviously spend a lot of time on my phone ;) Have to take advantage of it if I’m going to spend that much on a phone! If you want more info on any of those, lemme know! *MOST* of those are free apps.

BriteKite, hmm – tried this one, but don’t use it any more decided people didn’t need to be able to actually FIND me. :) LOL, I was busy hiding.
Camera Bag – the best app ever!
    Night Camera – meh
    Twinkle
    Twitterific
TwitterFon – never use this one, like the other two quite a bit. Vary between them as Twinkle often has server issues.
    Urbanspoon
    Open Table
Say Who – haven’t used it yet though. broderick told me to get it.
Fring – love it! Combines all my IM clients in one.
    Exposure & Charlie for flickr
PixUp – don’t like it though.
    AirMe
    NYTimes
    Mobile News
    TWC
    AirportStatus
    Wikipanion
    LinkedIn
    Simplify
    Pandora
    Shazam
    Yelp

AAAANDD, the number one app EVER! Facebook! :)

    Enjoy – I knew you’d come around.
