The place is run by a gentleman in his late 40's/early 50's (?) and there was a visitor I'd approximate in his 60's, along with an unrelated woman in her early 50's. It's always a mix, which is part of the magic! If they've got the spirit for it, send 'em down! As for the potties, how to word delicately. Eh. They're composting sawdust toilets, and the preference is that if you're going #1 (was trying to avoid saying that and failed!) you just do it in the woods. The staff takes care of emptying the bin-o-deposits. The composting? Signs in the outhouses tell the story: "Your poo makes flowers!" Oh, and if you're a woman in a fragile state, there is a different series of guidelines to be followed... Great questions!
